Call of Duty: Warzone Activision Battle Royale

30 Million People Have Played Call of Duty: Warzone

Call of Duty: Warzone is proving to be quite a success. It released less than two weeks ago and it already has more than 30 million players jumping into the action. Activision announced the numbers over the weekend stating that the battle royale is one of the fastest-growing free-to-play titles in the industry putting it on par with the likes of Apex Legends which hit 25 million within its first week.

The success of Call of Duty: Warzone is also helped by the massive surge in work-from-home policies which have been implemented across the world. People are staying indoors during the coronavirus pandemic in order to slow the spread of the deadly virus. This new mass movement has translated into more gamers spending more time on the couch which in turn means more time for Call of Duty: Warzone.

It also helps that Call of Duty: Warzone has a few refreshing differences that set it apart from the other games on the market including 15-player lobbies, more ways to revive your teammates and even a feature that allows you to revive yourself if you beat your opponent in the Gulag 1v1 showdown. It is without a doubt the “better” battle royale to come from Activision when compared to the likes of Blackout which released in 2018 alongside Black Ops 4.
