Now that Captain Marvel’s broken the glass ceiling by becoming the first of the Marvel females to get her own standalone movie, we want some more. There are so many Marvel females that could save the world and entertain the hell out of audiences, that Marvel won’t struggle to find stories to make movies of.

These Marvel females deserve to shine and get their own movies, just like Captain Marvel recently did.
Storm
Storm’s story would be one electrifying and adventurous tale. As part of the X-Men, we’ve seen her on screen before. Most notably portrayed by the amazing Halle Berry and Alexandra Sipp. Now we think she should get her own movie so we can learn more about how Ororo Munroe became the mutant who controls the elements.

The upcoming X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix focuses heavily on the story of Jean Grey (portrayed by Sophie Turner), but the movie isn’t her own standalone and focuses on the X-Men franchise as a whole.
The X-Men franchise has many awesome Marvel females like Rogue, Mystique and more, but Storm would make for a great movie because of how cinematic her powers are. Visually it would be an awesome movie. We would also love to learn more about Storm’s story and we think it would be especially cool to have a female of colour lead her own movie, like Black Panther. Interestingly, Storm and T’Challa were once married, where Storm ruled over Wakanda with him.
Hellcat
We see her as she starts her transformation in the now-cancelled Netflix show, Jessica Jones. Patricia “Trish” Walker (portrayed by ). Her nickname is usually Patsy but became Trish in the Netflix show. We’d love to see more from one of the fiercest and most loyal Marvel females we’ve seen in a long time.

She trains herself in the art of martial arts and transforms into Hellcat. She later gained superpowers allowing her to sense mystical energy and she’s able to form a force field and summons her costume at will.
Ironheart
Riri Williams was born to be one of the most intelligent Marvel females out there and was diagnosed as a super-genius by the age of five. She started making Super Hero armour at the age of 10 and got a scholarship at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) at the age of 15.

She became Tony Stark’s protégée and sees Pepper Potts as her role model. She’s invited to join S.H.I.E.LD. but declines the offer after she beats super villain Techno Golem and doesn’t agree with how they do business.
Spider-Woman
There are a few iterations of Spide-Man, as we saw with Into The Spider-Verse. But Jessica Drew is not only one of our favourite Spider-Woman characters, but one of our ultimate favourite Marvel females.
Her parents were both Hydra scientists who treated Jessica’s strange illness with a special spider serum which cured her and gave her superhuman speed, agility and the ability to crawl up walls.
What makes Jessica Drew stand out as one of the most amazing Marvel females, and the reason we want her story to be told is that she once gave birth and then literally continued to save the world. She continued to fight crime throughout her pregnancy, even fighting off an alien Skrull invasion moments after giving birth to her son, Gerry.
Squirrel Girl
You might think that there are better Marvel females out there than a chick called Squirrel Girl. But don’t let her quirky name fool you. Doreen Green, aka Squirrel Girl, is a badass and deserves her own movie.

BONUS: Female Thor
Seeing as Avengers: Endgame might be the end of the road for some of the MCU stories, we might see a new god of thunder emerge, and why not a female Thor?
When Thor becomes unworthy to wield his mighty magical hammer, Mjolnir, it calls on Doctor Jane Foster (portrayed by Natalie Portman in the movies). She reaches for and is able to wield this powerful weapon, even while battling breast cancer at the time. Once she reached for Mjolnir, she gained Thor’s strength, vitality and thunderous powers.
Tragically, the cancer was not treated by being in god-form and Jane had to continue her treatment once back in human form and on Earth.
We’d love to see her story told on the big screen and bring in a new era of superheroes.
