505 Games has launched a new teaser website to kick off its unveiling of a new game. The announcement is set to take place at The Game Awards next week. The website doesn’t do much at the moment besides showcase a city landscape by a dock. The site, Visit Rockay City, includes a looping video of this city and there are some noises that can be heard while it plays. The sounds include water, cars driving, some music in the background and some police sirens.
The announcement of the teaser site came out of nowhere. The 505 Games Twitter account posted a video tagging Geoff Keighley and Epic Games. The video featured Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill actor Michael Madsen. He walks into a reception asking for Keighley to give back a wallet he found in the parking lot. The wallet contains a QR code that once scanned, took users to the Visit Rockay City site.
There’s nothing else to know at the moment other than this teaser confirming a new game reveal from 505 Games next week. I gather this will likely be some sort of open-world GTA clone.
