A ‘Big’ PlayStation State of Play Event is Rumoured For February

Sony is prepping to host a failry big PlayStation event in February according to rumours. Over the weekend, sources who are aware of the February State of Play chimed in on the reports saying that whatever Sony is planning for next month, expect a large showcase of games.

Reliable source Tom Henderson says that the State of Play has the potential to be a pretty big one. This sort of aligns with Sony’s 2021 schedule. The company also hosted a State of Play on 25 February 2021 in which they showcased Kena: Bridge of Spirits, the PS5 version of the Final Fantasy VII: Remake, Returnal and more.

While it is still too early to say whether or not this event has been confirmed, Sony needs to lay down its foundations for 2021 sooner or later. We know Horizon Forbidden West is on its way next month. We also know the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is set to launch later this month. However, beyond that, Sony’s first-party calendar is empty.

The February State of Play will most likely play host to an update on Hogwarts Legacy, the rumoured Last of Us Remake and perhaps an update on the PlayStation VR2 hardware.

PS5 owners are starving for new details on games and hardware. Let’s hope this happens soon.
