If you have never played A Plague Tale: Innocence before then in July you are in for a treat. Focus Home Entertainment announced that the special enhanced version of the game is arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game is also coming to Nintendo Switch via cloud streaming.
On 6 July, players who own the original A Plague Tale: Innocence game can upgrade to the enhanced version for free. In addition, the game will launch as a standalone package. The enhanced version of A Plague Tale: Innocence will contain not only visual improvements such as textures, lighting and other technical enhancements but the game runs at 4K 60FPS.

The original game released back in 2019 and although it was a decent experience, the game struggled to run on the last-gen consoles. Thankfully, this enhanced version is set to fix those issues. Players will get to explore a rat-infested horrific version of France in glorious 4K 60FPS.
The enhanced version of A Plague Tale: Innocence also comes at a great time for the series. Microsoft announced a sequel to the game during its Xbox Showcase event on the weekend. The game is set to launch sometime in 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. There’s also rumours that A Plague Tale: Innocence might be the July PlayStation Plus game for PS5 owners. However, that is not confirmed yet.
