Spider-Man Across the Spider-Man Insomniac Games PS4 Trailer

Across the Spider-Verse Trailer Features Insomniac’s Spider-Man

The latest trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been released and to say it features plenty of Easter eggs for fans would be a massive understatement. The animated film is fully leveraging its dimension-hopping premise to tease plenty of variations of the popular superhero across media, but fans were quick to spot one that immediately stood out: the titular character of the PS4 game Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games.

In a scene from the new trailer showing Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy entering another dimension that highlights dozens of Spider-Man variations, one of the first seen walking across the screen is Insomniac’s Spider-Man. It’s unclear if this will just be a cameo or if he will have a much bigger role to play in the final film.

It will be interesting to see what creative liberties the filmmakers of Across the Spider-Verse will take when it comes to delivering multiple popular Spider-Man variations under one banner. Across all media including comic books, games, television and film, the team has no shortage of content to draw from for this highly anticipated sequel. Hopefully Insomniac’s Spider-Man will have a bigger part to play as it will be interesting to also see Insomniac’s Miles Morales confront this version’s Miles.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is the direct sequel to 2018’s critically acclaimed Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and continues the dimension-traversing adventures of Miles Morales as he wrestles with becoming Spider-Man and his responsibilities of donning the suit. He’s joined by Gwen Stacy aka Spider-Gwen who joins him on his new journey to prevent further catastrophe in the multiverse.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will release exclusively in cinemas on 2 June 2023. A third film, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is expected to launch on 29 March 2024 which will likely wrap up this trilogy of Miles-focused animated films. Check out the full trailer below.
