Activision Claims Call of Duty 2019 Will Bring “Game-Changing Experiences”

It may still be a while before we get a glimpse of the new Call of Duty 2019, but Activision has high hopes that the game will be one of the best in the popular franchise. At yesterday’s earnings call, the Call of Duty publisher dropped the first official mention of the upcoming shooter, stating that the game will bring “game-changing experiences”.

The publisher went on to say that the team behind the Call of Duty 2019 game has already started work on post-launch content and plans to make this one of the best experiences for fans of the popular franchise.

We also recognize that we need to do even more to maintain the breadth of our Call of Duty player base beyond the launch quarters and the Call of Duty team is hard at work on that for this fall’s big content release excitement for which is incredibly high around the organization. We expect that both the launch and post-launch content will bring game-changing experiences to our fans.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was a very different experience last year and was multiplayer-focused, which included a battle royale mode as well as its multiplayer mode and the game didn’t include a single player component.

Rumours have been pointing to the possibility that the Call of Duty 2019 game could go back to the Modern Warfare saga and according to some reports, American athletes were even given a glimpse of the game to test last month but right now that is still unconfirmed.

Activision usually reveals a new Call of Duty title before E3 around the end of May so we should see the game in the flesh very soon. What the company means by “game-changing” is still unclear but it could mean new game modes or perhaps a return to the battle royale genre.
