There is a public portion of the event too where members can meet the various developers from the industry and witness some games in the making. Rex Bowden, co-founder and CEO of Africa Games Week says

“The upcoming edition of Africa Games Week is going to be our best yet. This year we are taking the event beyond a conference to an industry- and community-building, knowledge-developing, creative-awakening, melting pot of Africa’s most amazing talent and opportunities for the gaming industry.”

If you didn’t know, Cape Town is already South Africa’s top game development destination with more than 60% of game studios based in the Mother City. The City of Cape Town has once again partnered with Africa Games Week to help promote the event and urges the public to stop by and check it out.

The public can attend the live exhibition at Workshop 17. Here, they will be able to meet and network with those manning over thirty stands.
