Alan Wake 2 DLC The Lake House 22 October

Alan Wake 2 DLC ‘The Lake House’ Launches Next Week

Remedy Entertainment announced during the recent Xbox Partner Preview showcase that the next Alan Wake 2 DLC, titled The Lake House, will launch next week on 22 October. This marks the second DLC to be released for the critically acclaimed horror game next to Night Springs, which launched back in June.

The Lake House DLC for Alan Wake 2 will depict events that unfold parallel to the events of the main game, following FBC agent Kiran Estevez, portrayed by Janina Gavankar. The downloadable content appears to make references to other Remedy IPs, notably Control. It isn’t uncommon for Remedy games to feature tie-ins or crossovers with its other franchises as the first DLC had an episode titled “North Star” which featured Control protagonist Jesse Faden as a playable character in a “what if” scenario.

The description for The Lake House expansion reads:

“Dive into a harrowing survival horror experience with the latest expansion for Alan Wake 2, set in an eerie new location on the shores of Cauldron Lake. Within the Federal Bureau of Control’s research station, the Lake House, a catastrophic event has occurred, where reckless experiments have caused reality to collide with the Dark Place.”

The good news is that the next DLC is right around the corner as it launches next week Tuesday on 22 October. Remedy Entertainment also confirmed that the second expansion will launch alongside the long-awaited physical version of the game. The DLC can be accessed if you own the Alan Wake 2 Expansion Pass, which comes with the digital Deluxe Edition and the upcoming physical Deluxe and Collector’s editions of the game. Those who own the standard edition will have to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition to access the expansion.

Alan Wake 2 is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Watch the launch trailer for The Lake House from last night’s Xbox Partner Preview showcase below:
