Alan Wake 2 Gameplay Trailer Release Date Digital Only Launch

Alan Wake 2 PC System Requirements – The Most Demanding Game of 2023

Alan Wake 2 is out this week and if you’re picking the game up on PC then you’ll need to have a pretty hefty build to run the game. Remedy has already revealed that Alan Wake 2 won’t support any NVIDIA 10-series GTX and AMD RX 5000 series GPUs. That’s because the game requires hardware with mesh shader support and these GPUs, and any previous models, don’t have this tech.

So if you’re an owner of these cards, you’ll need to upgrade to something new before launching the game. However, even if you’re running something newer, and have the best possible PC build on the market, Alan Wake 2 is going to stress test your hardware and ask the most out of it. Remedy recommends that all players, regardless of even owning an RTX 4080, enable some sort of upscaling in Alan Wake 2.

Upscaling in Alan Wake 2 ranges from Quality to Performance by the look of things. So there’s room to move about depending on your setup. The game also supports NVIDIA’s latest DLSS 3.5 and Ray Reconstruction. It also supports path tracing which is the latest form of ray tracing seen only previously only in Cyberpunk 2077.

Basically, Alan Wake 2 is a demanding game and you’ll need to keep this in mind before jumping in later this week. Here are the PC system requirements.
