Alien Earth

Alien: Earth Gets Full Creepy Trailer and Premiere Date

FX has (finally) announced the release date for Alien: Earth after months of teasers. Along with the premiere date, the studio has showcased a full trailer and it is creepy as hell.

As previously confirmed, Alien: Earth will take place on Earth but at the same time, the trailer has further revealed the five alien species which the show will focus around.

According to FX, Alien: Earth takes place before the original Alien film. It follows a team of researchers who investigate a spaceship that has happened to crash-land on the planet. The show also focuses on the first person who had their mind transferred to a durable, synthetic body, Wendy (played by Sydney Chandler).

Wendy, being not a human, sets out to investigate the downed ship to discover where it came from and what it holds. Of course, it is the same transport ship we have seen in the previous trailers that is carrying five unique species of alien, many of which are a mystery to the fandom.

It will be interesting to see how Alien: Earth plays out. I personally just hope it focuses more on the current events rather than spending most of the show with flashbacks on how this ship crashed on Earth. If anything, its production looks rather incredible.

Alien: Earth premieres on 12 August. Watch the trailer below.
