VR developer Survios today announced the launch date of Alien: Rogue Incursion, a single-player, action-horror VR game set in the Alien universe. The game will be available on 19 December for PlayStation VR2, PCVR via Steam, and Meta Quest 3.
Pre-orders for all platforms are now open. As a special pre-order bonus, players who purchase any version of the game will receive exclusive weapon and armour skins inspired by Alien: Romulus, which will be released in theatres this weekend.
In a new trailer, fan-favourite character Zula Hendricks was revealed as the hero of Alien: Rogue Incursion. The trailer provides an extended look at gameplay and features two brand-new trailers that delve deeper into the Xenomorphs, weapons, and gear.
The trailer does a good job setting things up. From a VR perspective, players will shoot things, use a tracker to track down the Xenomorph and even dodge Facehuggers. The gameplay seems to be a mix of horror and action. We don’t know yet if players will need to use stealth at any point to stay alive.
Alien: Rogue Incursion is now available for pre-order. There’s a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition. It retails for $39,99 and $49,99. In South Africa, this is R749 and R949.
