We know that the Super Bowl is one of the biggest events of the year and while I don’t personally care about the sport, I do enjoy catching up on all the cool trailers that come out of the show. This year, the match was packed to the brim with movie trailers for various movies including Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon and Marvel’s Thunderbolts. If you missed the trailers, here’s a roundup of everything.
Lilo & Stitch
Stitch invaded the Super Bowl LIX match during Disney’s movie spot for the upcoming live-action film. The trailer isn’t really a look at the movie but more a teaser that Stitch is a naughty little rat alien that loves to cause havoc.
How to Train Your Dragon
The first short trailer to the upcoming live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon debuted during the Super Bowl LIX. The 30-second teaser has a bit of flying, dragons breathing fire, an epic soundtrack, and of course, a shot of Red Death. Red Death was the big bad dragon from the first animated movie, and it seems he will be the primary focus in the live-action adaptation too.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning
Tom Cruise is back again in the latest Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. The movie spot teases what could be Tom Cruise’s last Mission: Impossible movie, as the scenes set up an intense action sequence on the way for fans.
Marvel’s Thunderbolts
Marvel Studios unveiled fresh footage from Thunderbolts during Super Bowl 2025, showcasing the team of antiheroes. The trailer reveals the arrival of Robert ‘Bob” Reynolds, also known as Sentry. Unlike the other trailers on this list, Marvel’s Thunderbolts was a full 2-minute video.
Jurassic World Rebirth
The Jurassic World Rebirth trailer teases “a new era” in the series. Set five years after the events of Jurassic World Dominion, the story follows Zora Bennett and Dr Henry Loomis as they venture into the island to collect DNA from the three of the largest dinosaurs ever created at the lab.
F1
The 30-second teaser for F1 highlights some of the movie scenes and race sequences viewers can expect from the IMAX flick later this year. The movie has been directed by Joseph Kosinski, the man behind the Top Gun: Maverick film. It follows the story of a retired Formula One driver who returns to the scene to mentor a noob played by Damson Idris.
Smurfs
The “Rihanna” Smurf trailer is a shorter version of the original trailer which was released last week. It includes various scenes that show off what the Smurfs get up to while on a mission to the real world to save Papa Smurf. If you haven’t guessed by now, Smurfett is voiced by Rihanna.
Captain America: Brave New World
This trailer arrives just a few days before Anthony Mackie debuts as Captain America. The film is expected to launch in cinemas on 14 February.

Jack Quadi stars as a man who doesn’t feel pain – Conveniant that he sets off to save his girlfriend from a gang who kidnaps her.
