Alone in The Dark Showcase Coming This Week

Details regarding the Alone in the Dark reimagining will be announced this week. The game was originally revealed back in August of 2022 as a 1920s reboot of the popular classic horror series. THQ promises to showcase Alone in the Dark in full detail this week during a special “Alone in the Dark Spotlight event”.

The event will kick off at some ridiculous hour in South Africa so you’ll have to just visit the site the next morning to see what you missed. If you want to watch it live, it will air on 26 May at 02:00 CAT / 1 am BST or on 25 May at 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET.

In the announcement for the spotlight, THQ promises it will “unveil answers to some of the most pressing questions surrounding the game.”

Very little is known about the game at this point. It was given a trailer back in August which detailed the game’s 1920s Liousiana setting. The trailer looked pretty cool with horror themes, puzzles, demons and ghosts. However, further details have remained a mystery up to now.

This Alone in the Dark spotlight will likely include some hands-on gameplay footage as well as a release date. We’ll share all the news as it happens. Here’s the previous trailer and game description:

Return to Derceto Manor in this reimagination of Alone in the Dark, a love letter to the 90’s cult classic horror game.

Deep in the 1920s South, Emily Hartwood’s uncle has gone missing. Together with private investigator Edward Carnby, she embarks on a journey to Derceto Manor to uncover the secrets of this mysterious place and the circumstances of her relative’s vanishing.

Encounter strange residents, nightmarish realms, and dangerous monsters and ultimately unveil a plot of rising evil. At the intersection of reality, mystery, and insanity, an adventure waits that will challenge your core beliefs. Who can you trust, what will you believe, and what will you do next?
