AMD has confirmed that its shrouded-in-mystery Radeon RX 9000-Series GPUs will launch in March. The company shared the news after going silent following the strange CES 2025 presentation where the GPU was seemingly missing in action.
During CES, AMD hosted its keynote presentation where fans were eagerly anticipating the GPU’s reveal. However, the company completely sidelined the lineup and, in fact, didn’t mention anything about the range at all.
Following the presentation, AMD said that the Radeon RX 9000-Series deserved its own showcase and that the CES keynote wasn’t the place to spend time detailing the GPU. It said that the Redeon RX 9000-Series would get a full showcase later this year alongside information regarding FSR4.
I am not entirely sure what is going on at AMD and why the GPUs were delayed. I know for a fact that AMD has already shipped media/creator samples out to brands ahead of the original early-January embargo. However, everything was delayed and left up in the air after the CES event.
While AMD claims the Radeon RX 9000-Series will launch in March now, the company didn’t say when it plans to host any sort of media presentation regarding the specifications and performance. We also don’t know when we’ll see FSR4 in action and whether or not the tech is exclusive to the new GPUs, as previously mentioned in a leak. We also don’t know when to expect reviews of these GPUs, which again, were originally pegged for this month.
Hopefully, come March, everything will make sense. AMD surely has some good cards in the works, and consumers are eagerly waiting for them. With the RTX 50-Series launching in the next ten days, we’ll have to see how these two brands compete against one another in terms of price and performance.
