Apex Legends Duos Mode Coming Next Week – 70 Million Players Milestone Reached

While the awesome Fight or Fright Collection Event for Apex Legends is still going on in King’s Canyon right now, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts aren’t sitting on their hands. The developer has announced that an Apex Legends Duos Mode will be coming to the game next week, on 5 October 2019 and Electronic Arts also recently announced that the game has hit a mammoth 70 million players worldwide.

The Apex Legends Duos mode will be coming to all platforms where you and a friend can queue up to fight for glory. At the time of writing, it is unclear how long the mode will be available as no end date was given, but Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts did announce it as a limited-time mode.

During the publisher’s recent earnings report, it was also made very clear that Apex Legends is going to be a big focus for EA going forward and the game did extremely well. EA also revealed that the game managed to hit the 70 million players worldwide milestone and importantly, that weekly average player hours in Season 3 was “significantly” above what it was in Season 2.

Respawn Entertainment also revealed the 70 million player milestone in a tweet with a clip featuring the game’s characters as you can see below.

Lastly, we can expect mobile version sometime next year (or early in 2021), as Electronic Arts plan to release it during the next financial year, which is from April 2020 to March 2021.
