Apex Legends New Maps, Modes, Weapons And More Teased

Respawn Entertainment and EA have handled the launch of Apex Legends with style. Last week, we saw the game launch without any big issues, no pay-to-win microtransactions and most importantly, extremely fun gameplay. With over 20 million players already, Apex Legends is no doubt the next big thing for battle royale titles. Respawn isn’t stopping there as a Battle Pass is already planned and now, we’ve learned that Apex Legends will get new maps, modes and much more as well.

The Battle Pass, which you can read all about in the link above, shows new weapons, Legends and loot, but there is more to come than just the Battle Pass content. Hopefully, this content which includes new maps and modes will be free and since they aren’t part of the official Battle Pass details, they very well could be.

In an interview with VentureBeat, the CEO of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella, talked about what they could do in terms of content post-launch and Mr Zampella replied with:

Oh yeah, absolutely. This is just the start of our journey. There will be new maps, new modes, new characters, new weapons, new skins. There will be a ton of stuff coming over the next year to 10, maybe. It depends on how successful it is.

I, for one, would prefer some new modes, including a solo mode first, before getting new maps. Let’s face it, the game is still so new and the map is pretty huge, so it still feels very fresh. Interestingly, we reported earlier this week that solo and duo modes were found in the game’s code, so a new mode could be coming sooner than many expect.
