Apex Legends Season 2

Apex Legends Season 2 Trailer, Details and Gameplay Revealed

Things have been a bit quiet for Apex Legends and Respawn’s Battle Royale game did drop in stats quite a bit over the past few months. However, there is sure to be a big resurgence after Apex Legends Season 2 kicks off and in my opinion, it is still the best Battle Royale game out there. That’s why Apex Legends Season 2 is so exciting and it looks like the developer is turning everything up to 11 for the next season after making some missteps in the first one.

Apex Legends Season 2 kicks off on 2 July 2019, in case you didn’t know.

We already know that Season 2 will bring a Ranked Mode, a new Legend (Watson), a new weapon and a bunch of Battle Pass cosmetics, but the Apex Legends Season 2 launch trailer shows even more coming to the game, with what looks like some big changes to the map. Respawn is also teasing a character called Crypto, who seems to be behind the destruction.

Players spotted Crypto’s laptop in the game world and in the Season 2 launch trailer you can view below, the laptop is shown as well, possibly teasing Crypto as the Legend after Watson.

The launch trailer might seem like a lot of story fluff, but the explosion and action scene in the trailer leads to changes in the game’s actual map.

From the Repulsor Tower going down to wildlife, massive Flyers and Leviathans on the map, Kings Canyon will never be the same again. Some areas shown in the gameplay video (which you can view at the bottom of this article) look decimated by Crypto’s actions from the cinematic trailer, while there also seem to be some new areas.

We also get a glimpse of Caustic’s Prince of Darkness skin, new emotes and shots of how areas of the map looked before the incident and afterwards.
