Apex Legends took the gaming world by storm last week and it has been growing ever since. The game is, without a doubt, a worthy competitor for the top battle royale titles out there. Since Apex Legends only released last week, we are yet to see the first feature update for the game and to really compete with the top battle royale titles such as Fortnite, the game needs some great free updates. Developer Respawn Entertainment did say the launch was just the start of their plans and now, Apex Legends solo and duo modes have been leaked.

There is no doubt in my mind that Apex Legends solo and duo modes will get released at some point. Sure, playing with three others is fun, but it can also be infuriating and to compete with the likes of Fortnite, the game needs these modes. It is a matter of preference really, so Apex Legends solos and duos modes should make some players very happy.
Famous Fortnite leaker, ShiinaBR, has started digging through Apex Legends’ files and found that solo and duo modes are mentioned, hinting at a possible future release. Apex Legends solo and duo modes both show up in the game’s code, with strings mentioning 2-man squads and a game mode strong called “solo mode”. On Twitter via the newly created ApexUpdate handle, ShiinaBR said that:
Solo & Duo game modes found in the game files! No information about when they will be released, but we may see them very soon.
I, for one, welcome these modes. Even though I did enjoy Apex Legends as part of a team of three, sometimes you just want to fly solo as there are times when your randomly matchmade teammates have no idea what to do, resulting in a quick elimination. Keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed so far and we will just have to wait and see when or if Respawn decides to add these modes.
