Apple hosted their special “it’s showtime” event tonight at the Steve Jobs theatre and during the event announced Apple Arcade. This service is Apple’s answer to a gaming platform as it will offer unique and exclusive games not available on any other mobile platform.
The service will offer over one hundred games at launch and continue to grow as the service expands. Users will pay a monthly fee for the service which will give them access to all the titles available in the Apple Arcade.
Users will be able to access this feature directly from the Apple Store and download games instantly to their iOS device, Apple TV and Mac without the need for internet to play the game once downloaded.

Apple promises that games recommendations will be tailored to you and will feature full experiences, game updates and content. There will also be no ads at all shown in any of these games. Apple will be launching Apple Arcade this spring in more than 150 countries but pricing has not yet been revealed as of yet.
There will most likely be a few big launch titles to go hand in hand with Apple Arcade when it goes live later this year. Although Apple’s release date is still a mystery, they could be lining this up with this year’s iPhone hardware refresh and the release of iOS 13.
