During its “Far Out” event, Apple announced its new range of Apple Watch devices also known as the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra. The new accessories come with some new features including a new temperature sensor. Apple says the new sensor helps track your current temperature as well as monitor your wrist temperature at night while you sleep.
Apple Watch Series 8 also comes with a new car crash feature that can detect extreme impacts and alert your emergency contacts if you are even in a crash. This is thanks to the new Apple Watch Series 8 sensors that connect to the current microphones, gyroscopes and other built-in sensors. The crash detection works in cars, SUVs, trucks and other vehicles.

Apple says the Watch Series 8 still keeps the current battery life with the new features. However, it also comes with a new Low Power Mode that can increase the battery life for up to 36 hours. Apple says Low Power Mode is being added to Watch Series 4 and up with the new WatchOS 9 software. The mode turns off certain sensors and tracking to store as much battery as possible.

Apple is also releasing a new Watch SE model that has changed the materials on the back and the manufacturing process behind the shell. It comes with most of the features in Watch Series 8 including crash detection. Watch SE comes with the same SIP as Watch Series 8 too making it 20% faster than the previous model.

But there is more. Apple is also releasing a new Apple Watch Ultra aimed at users who require a tougher, more advanced smartwatch. The biggest feature of the Apple Watch Ultra is its sturdier design. It starts from the case which is made from Aerospace grade aluminium. The glass is also much stronger and comes with a brighter screen than other models. Apple has added a second speaker on the Watch Ultra and it also comes with three precision microphones which can be used in loud and harsh environments.
When it comes to the battery, Apple says it lasts 36 hours on a single charge and can last up to 60 hours in a special low-power designed specifically for the Apple Watch Ultra.
