Apple is slowly building up its anticipated Apple Arcade gaming service to release later this year and it will bring a whole new gaming platform to the world. During its 2019 WWDC keynote, the company revealed support for Sony’s DualShock 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One controller on the Apple TV.

The company revealed both these devices will support the Apple TV later this year when the new TV OS releases. Apple will no doubt release support for these two devices when Apple Arcade comes to TV OS later this year. Apple Arcade will come with hundreds of exclusive games that you can play on your Apple TV and iOS devices but the ability to use your favourite gaming controller along with these games is a real game changer.

Apple showed off some Oceanhorn 2 gameplay that looks like a Legend of Zelda clone. The game has crisp visuals and some great-looking gameplay that will be enhanced with the ability to use your DualShock 4 or Xbox One controller on the Apple TV.

Along with the new controller support, Apple announced the Apple TV 4K will receive separate profile support with customized viewing experiences per family member. This will go across both Apple Music and the Apple TV content.
