Apple September iPhone 13 Event

Apple Announces iPhone 13 and Apple Watch Series 7 Event

Apple has announced its September iPhone event. The showcase will take place on 14 September and play host to a handful of announcements including the iPhone 13 range and the new Apple Watch Series 7. We don’t know much about the new iPhone 13 range at this time other than what has leaked online. The new phone is expected to include a major upgrade to the camera array especially on the Pro Max model. Apple has reportedly included a new portrait video feature allowing users to blur out backgrounds when recording video.

Leaked photos of the iPhone 13 Pro Max device show off some rather massive camera lenses at the back of the phone. These sensors are now almost double the radius of the iPhone 11 range. Apple is also expected to include a new always-on display on the iPhone 13 lineup. The display will be similar to the Apple Watch Series 6. In addition, the company might finally incorporate a higher refresh rate on the new models boosting it up to 120Hz.

Speaking of the display, Apple is also expected to increase the screen-to-body ratio of the new iPhone 13 range by 30%. This is thanks to the new reduced bezel that contains the Face ID camera system.

As for the Apple Watch Series 7, there’s very little out there in terms of rumours. Apple has supposedly been working on incorporating sensors into the bands but that has not been confirmed yet. However, we do know the watch will come with a new design and feature flat-edged sides similar to the iPhone 12 and 13 lineups. It will also pack an increased display size.

The event could also play host to new Mac updates including a new supercharged range of M1 devices. Don’t bank on that reveal just yet. Last but not least, expect a release date for the iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and Mac OS Monterey.
