Apple Podcasts Now Has a Web App

Apple has launched a web app version of its Podcasts app. You can access the Apple Podcasts app by visiting podcasts.apple.com and it works across all browsers. In addition, users can sign into their Apple ID and access their library of podcasts.

The app functions very similar to the mobile and Mac versions. There’s a Browse tab where you can navigate through the featured podcasts. The Home tab hosts all the shows you follow and recommends new ones. There’s also the Top Charts tab that showcases the best shows on the platform.

The launch of the Podcasts app on the web means you don’t need to have your iPhone around to enjoy your shows. You also don’t need to have a Mac either so this is great for Windows users.

Apple has recently ported a number of its services to the web. Last month we got the Apple Maps web app. The company also has Apple Music and Apple TV available on the web. This is a drastic change from a few years ago when the company locked its services to Apple devices only.

At launch, Apple TV+ was exclusive to Apple devices. Now, however, the app is available on all TVs, the web and other devices.
