iOS 18.3 and macOS Sequoia 15.3 betas are now available for testing. The betas arrive just a week after Apple released iOS 18.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.2 to the public. While many were hoping for new Apple Intelligence features in the new software, it doesn’t seem to be the case.
So far, the latest builds don’t add any new Apple Intelligence tools. On macOS Sequoia, users can now create Genmoji, but iOS 18.3 doesn’t come with any updated Siri features as previously reported. Instead, these new updates seemingly lay down the foundations for possible new features to come.
They might arrive in future beta updates, but Apple was expected to release cross-app Siri integration in this beta build or iOS 18.4 and macOS Sequoia 15.4. It seems that Apple is indeed delaying the next set of AI tools into early 2025.
The good news is that if you’re running macOS 15.3 Sequoia beta, you’ll be able to use the Genmoji features on the platform. This was a previously released generative AI tool where users could create custom emojis to send across supported apps as a Sticker. The feature is now available on iPhone and iPad.
I usually jump at the opportunity to install the latest beta software, but this build seems pretty pointless. It will be nice to have a public build on my Apple devices for once in a long time.
If you do want to install the latest beta builds, you’ll need a supported device. This includes any iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 model. macOS 15.3 requires a device with an M processor. iPadOS 18.3 also requires a device with an M processor.
