Arkane’s Blade Gets First Concept Art Showing Vampires in Paris

Marvel’s Blade was officially announced at The Game Awards this year with a short CG teaser trailer. The anticipated comic book game will be developed by Dishonored and Deathloop studio Arkane Lyon, though a release date or platforms haven’t been announced yet. New concept art now gives us an idea of the game’s setting and blood-sucking enemies, showing vampires lurking in the streets of Paris.

The first details for Blade revealed that the game will be set in Paris and players will control the vampire hunter from a third-person perspective, which is quite a departure from Arkane’s usual first-person action. Beyond that, we know very little about the gameplay but the first concept art gives us a closer look at the tone of the game, its enemies and what we’ll be doing as Blade while we roam the streets and rooftops of a dystopian Paris.

Arkane Lyon attended The Game Awards to talk a bit about the game after its reveal, though it only raised more questions than answers as it might still be in early development, meaning we’ll have to be patient for a few more years before its launch.

Blade wasn’t the only game to have a big reveal at The Game Awards, though. Santa Monica Studio revealed that it will be releasing free DLC for God of War Ragnarok titled Valhalla and it’s available right now for PS4 and PS5 players. Additionally, Capcom revealed Monster Hunter Wilds, the next entry in its monster-slaying series and follow-up to the enormously successful Monster Hunter World.
