Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, the upcoming mech action game from Elden Ring developer From Software, will reportedly take you around 50-60 hours to complete, making it the longest game in the series to date. It’s unclear if this only includes beating the main campaign or doing everything in the game.
As reported by Fextralife which recently got to attend a preview event for Armored Core 6, From Software reckoned that the game “would be around 50 to 60 hours long.” This is quite massive even by Armored Core standards. Past games in the series usually required players to sink around 12 hours into its main campaigns at most, with extra content padding the play time to around 20-30 hours each.

By comparison, From Software also figured that it would take players around 30 hours to beat Elden Ring. For anyone who has played Elden Ring and completed it, the journey is a lot longer than 30 hours if you’re tackling every dungeon and bits of side activities for the sake of exploration. Realistically, Elden Ring‘s total play time should be around 50 or 60 hours.
Armored Core 6, on the other hand, is a fairly linear action game without a gargantuan map like Elden Ring so 50-60 hours seems a bit much for the type of game that it is. We can’t say for certain just how long it will take players to clear everything that Armored Core 6 has to offer until we get our hands on the game and offer a more accurate estimation.
In related news, From Software and publisher Bandai Namco recently dropped a story trailer for Armored Core 6 that gave fans a better glimpse into its narrative. Japanese retailers managed to get physical copies in early which revealed at the back of the box that the game will feature 6-player PvP multiplayer, though that number can be bumped up to nine players if you’re including spectators to watch your Robot Wars-styled death matches.
Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon launches on 25 August 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
