Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning to the Predator series in the latest video game “Hunting Grounds” as the iconic “Dutch” character. The former bodybuilder and California governor will be voicing lines for the asymmetrical multiplayer game for a free update arriving on 26 May 2020.

IllFonic’s Chief Creative Officer Jared Gerritzen announced on the PlayStation Blog that both a free and paid DLC is headed to Predator: Hunting Ground. In addition, the Arnold Schwarzenegger content will also be arriving as part of the package. Dutch will be a playable character featuring voice work from the man himself. The DLC will also share Dutch’s story post-Predator.
Players will also be able to play as Dutch and get early access to the QR5 “hammerhead” rifle and Dutch’s Knife. However, this is paid content.
The first is a free update, available for all players who own the game. Players will be able to learn where Dutch has been all these years and hear his story in his own words through a series of voice tapes that you earn as you level up.
The second is a paid DLC pack where you can play as Dutch and get early access to the QR5 “Hammerhead” Rifle and Dutch’s Knife! (available free for all players later in June).
So from what we understand, Dutch is not a free playable character. However, his weapons are and will be free in June for everyone. Those of you who purchase the DLC will get them earlier than other players.
I am a little concerned about the game’s paid DLC, to be honest. I reviewed Predator: Hunting Grounds last week and it was pretty meh. Buggy game with very little content a load of performance issues. The developers at Illfonic should focus on balancing the game and fixing its pacing issues before asking people for more money. Anyway, Arnold Schwarzenegger is coming to Predator Hunting Grounds and you will have to pay for him. For those who care.
