Ubisoft had announced that the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will continue the series’ educational features and include a special “History of Baghdad” mode. The mode, which is similar to the Discovery Tour in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Odyssey and Origins, will let players learn the history of Baghdad by exploring various locations and interacting with different objects.
Ubisoft says that the Assassin’s Creed: Mirage History of Baghdad mode includes 66 historical sites throughout the region. Players will unlock research-driven articles covering five areas. These include art, science, belief, daily life, court life, and economy and government

The studio has worked hand-in-hand with historians and expert advisors on the project. Together, the teams illustrated educational lessons with images selected from the collection of museums and institutions in the region.
Dr. Raphaël Weyland, a historian who worked on the project at Ubisoft Montreal shared his excitement for the project saying:
“I am proud that we did not shy away from any subject, discussing sensitive and misrepresented topics such as the harem, the role of eunuchs, and slavery in a nuanced way. I am also happy that we managed to incorporate some humor in the entries on Table Manners or Market Inspectors. After all, history can also be funny and lighthearted!”
Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is expected to launch on 12 October for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The game is deemed as a spiritual revival of the series and takes players back to the original roots of what made the franchise so popular. It features a large emphasis on stealth, parkour and action-adventure gameplay.
