Assassin's Creed Red Sekiro Elden Ring Map Size Leaked

Assassin’s Creed Red Will Launch by March 2025 Says Ubisoft

Assassin’s Creed Red (or Assassin’s Creed Codename Red) will release before March 2025 or fiscal year 2025 (between April 2024 and March 2025). Ubisoft confirmed the news in its recent earnings call, though a proper reveal, including the official title of the game, has yet to happen. The game is set to be the next major mainline entry in the long-running franchise.

In addition to Assassin’s Creed Red, Ubisoft also confirmed that Star Wars Outlaws will launch sometime this year. Two conflicting reports claim that the anticipated Star Wars title will either launch in late 2024 or May this year. At this rate, we may have to wait for the company to give an official update on that.

Speaking in the earnings call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stated:

“Moving forward, we’re gearing up for a very promising line-up for fiscal year 2025 including the upcoming release of Star Wars Outlaws in 2024, which should be a major milestone in the video game industry, especially given the undeniable appeal of this legendary franchise that will be coming for the first time to the Open World territory, as well as Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, set in the long-awaited feudal Japan universe.”

“We look forward to revealing the full extent of the creative capabilities of Ubisoft’s teams, who are working hard to make these games a success that will live up to gamers’ expectations,” Guillemot added.

Assassin’s Creed Red will take be the first game in the series to take place in feudal Japan. Beyond a handful of leaks, details on the game are still sparse. However, reports claim that it will feature two playable protagonists: a female shinobi named Naoi and a male samurai apparently based on real-life African samurai, Yasuke. The gameplay will also reportedly be heavily inspired by Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, though the map size won’t be as formidably large as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
