Assassin's Creed Shadows Gameplay Deep Dive Ubisoft Forward

Assassin’s Creed Shadows Gets Extended Gameplay at Ubisoft Forward

Ubisoft recently presented some extended gameplay into Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the upcoming new entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Most of the gameplay was focused on the two protagonists of the game, Naoe and Yasuke and how each character plays differently with their specific skillsets and abilities.

The gameplay segmented for Assassin’s Creed Shadows opens with Yasuke arriving in the village of Fukuchiyama where he is honourably greeted by the villagers as he passes by. Yasuke then encounters a group of corrupt samurai who he swiflty disposes of. His fighting style is much more brutish and upfront, preferring to deal with enemies in a violent yet satisfying manner. The first section of gameplay ends with Yasuke meeting Naoe in the village.

During cutscenes and assuming before missions, you can choose to play as either Yasuke or Naoe. In this gameplay, Naoe moves the mission forward by infiltrating Fukuchiyama Castle. In classic Assassin’s Creed stealth combat, she can stealthily execute enemies from rooftops or shadows. She can put out light sources to create wider areas of shadows for her to hide in and traverse. She is capable of holding her own in combat too.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches on 15 November 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Make sure you check out the South African pre-order guide too. Watch the extended gameplay below:
