Assassin’s Creed Shadows Leaks at Retail – Gameplay Videos Surface Alongside Game Details

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has leaked at retail just under a month away from launch. Not sure where this leak took place, but someone managed to get hold of a PS5 version and has been able to play the game offline.

According to the user, the PS5 retail disc includes a very old build of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. So, Ubisoft will likely have a major day-one patch available that you’ll want to download. The user has also shared various gameplay tidbits of the game alongside videos and screenshots.

Be warned, the information in the leak could be seen as a spoiler. Although the user doesn’t really spoil any story beats but does mention how the opening of each playable character plays out. Proceed at your own risk.

The user has also uploaded some screenshots and videos of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, but they aren’t anything worth looking at. Poorly shot off-screen content taken on a potato phone. However, the gameplay details might offer more useful information.

In general, the user says they have enjoyed the game so far after playing over 11 hours. They say the build doesn’t include any of the new improvements that Ubisoft delayed the game for, but I don’t think that is the case.

They mention a number of gameplay mechanics, including some mini-games and how the general opening of Assassin’s Creed Shadows plays out. This includes who you play first, when the title screen appears, and some customization features for both Yasuke and Naoe.

You can view the full list of information here. Again, keep in mind that it may contain spoilers. As for the poorly recorded videos and photos, I won’t link them here, but a Google search should take you right to them.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is expected to launch on 20 March for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Catch up on our full pre-order guide here as well as the PC system requirements here.
