Last month, we reported on a leak that suggested the official title of Assassin’s Creed Codename Red would be Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft has now made an official announcement confirming the new title with a full reveal set to take place tomorrow, 15 May at 6PM CAT. However, the release date has now been leaked ahead of the game’s big reveal along with some details about the DLC.
For those not in the loop, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be the first game in the franchise to be set in feudal Japan – a highly-requested time period fans wanted to see for years. According to previous reports, it will seemingly feature two protagonists: a shinobi named Naoe and a samurai named Yasuke, based on the real-life African samurai of the same name.
Fans can finally look forward to the full reveal of Assassin’s Creed Shadows tomorrow at 9AM PT / 12PM ET / 5PM BST or 6PM CAT. However, the game’s release date has leaked via various Ubisoft YouTube channels which prematurely lists a date of 15 November 2024 (per Video Games Chronicle).

A dataminer named Frax claims to have some details regarding the game’s DLC as well. According to the dataminer, the Assassin’s Creed Shadows Season Pass will reportedly cost $40 and includes two expansions individually priced at $25. It’s also said to have in-game currency called Helix.
The Season Pass will give players access to a questline called ‘Origami Killer’ while the Ultimate Edition will give players five ‘skill points.’ A pre-order bonus called ‘Thrown to the Dogs’ is also included as part of Ubisoft’s pre-order and DLC plans.
If the reports are accurate, it will line up with Ubisoft’s previous comments about Assassin’s Creed Shadows launching within this fiscal year.
