Ubisoft recently announced that it would be hosting another Ubisoft Forward digital showcase, set to take place on 10 September. The company recently confirmed the existence of the next Assassin’s Creed title, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. However, next to Skull and Bones and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, it looks like its flagship stealth series will take the spotlight at the event.
Ubisoft confirmed that fans will get a deep dive into the future of the Assassin’s Creed franchise following the Ubisoft Forward showcase this week. This will include the newly announced Assassin’s Creed Mirage and presumably a first look at Assassin’s Creed Infinity, the bigger mainline entry that will utiilise a live-service model.

Ubisoft recently unveiled Assassin’s Creed Mirage and according to several rumours, it promises a return to form for the series with an emphasis on stealth, assassinations and a scaled-back world. This is exciting news for fans perhaps burnt out by the massive open-world formula that recent Assassin’s Creed games adopted. Mirage is also rumoured to feature two locations: Baghdad and Constantinople.
In addition to more Assassin’s Creed content, fans will also be treated to new footage of the upcoming sea-faring adventure game, Skull and Bones, as well as another look at Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It’s unknown if Beyond Good and Evil 2 will make an appearance at the showcase.
Assassin’s Creed Infinity is what most fans will be eagerly watching with bated breath. Ubisoft revealed that it will be a live-service game, and according to various reports, feature an evolving world that encompasses new entries in the series that tackles several timelines (similar to what 343 Industries envisioned with Halo Infinite).
We’ll just have to wait and see if it all lives up to expectations. Ubisoft Forward takes place on 10 September (Saturday) at 9PM SAST.
