We now know that Ubisoft is working on the second year of content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It marks the first Assassin’s Creed game to get its own Year 2 content which is great for players of the game. Last month during the Ubisoft Forward event, the developer teased us with a special trailer for what might arrive in 2022 in the title.
Ubisoft now says that its post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the most ambitious the studio has ever created to date. This includes the upcoming Siege of Paris and the future 2022 expansion we have learned is under the codename “Meteor“.

In an interview with VGC, Ubisoft chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet assured fans that the game’s post-launch content is looking strong and Ubisoft aims to make Assassin’s Creed Valhalla the best performer ever in the series to date.
“We are pushing the live service model to a level that allows Valhalla to be the best performer ever for the franchise to date, and we will be coming with exciting and new news and surprising [announcements], including for the second year of content.”
Not only is the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Siege of Paris expansion headed our way in the weeks ahead but Ubisoft is already teasing players with the anticipated free one-handed sword update coming soon.

We do know that Ubisoft is already working on a live-service Assassin’s Creed game under the name “Infinity”. The company could be using Valhalla as a testing ground to see how well the approach goes down with fans.
