ASUS and NVIDIA Reveal a 360Hz Gaming Monitor at CES 2020

Unlike last year’s ASUS 360Hz gaming monitor which was an April Fool’s joke, this one is actually real. ASUS and NVIDIA have teamed up to develop a 24.5-inch 1080p gaming monitor that runs at 360Hz with a new advanced version of G-Sync. ASUS claims the monitor has been designed with esports in mind.

Usually one would find 120Hz, 144Hz and 240Hz gaming monitors so this new 360Hz model is the next step up in the industry. Of course, you would need a powerful GPU to take advantage of the new refresh rate but with next-gen GPUs on the horizon, this should not be an issue for them.

NVIDIA claims to have included a new “advanced G-Sync processor” inside the new ASUS 360Hz monitor which will help improve tracking and deliver smoother animations. Latency is also greatly reduced as well as ghosting and screen tearing.

The monitor is said to be six times faster than other monitors and TVs delivering game frames once every 2.8ms. ASUS says the monitor will not be available to the public until late 2020 so there’s no need to rush out and buy it right away. There is also no price tag yet but expect to pay a small fortune for this ASUS 360Hz gaming monitor.
