ASUS ROG Reveals Solid Lineup of Gaming Laptops at CES 2024

ASUS ROG recently presented its Transcendence event at CES 2024, showing off a range of new products coming from the tech giant this year. As usual, a solid lineup of gaming laptops were shown – mainly refreshes or redesigns of existing laptops but very welcomed ones as we’ll come to see. This includes redesigns for the ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 which now come equipped with striking OLED displays and a bit more power under the hood.

While the ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 gaming laptops were front and centre for ASUS at CES this year, there were also a few more things for curious fans to check out. The Strix range, including the SCAR 16 and SCAR 18, got a bit of attention with slight refreshes for the new year. Here’s the lineup of laptops that ASUS revealed as part of its Transcendence event at CES 2024.

ROG Zephyrus G14 (2024) GA403

Thinner, prettier and more powerful, the 2024 ROG Zephyrus G14 is kicking things up a notch or two. Packed with up to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 in a 1.59cm CNC Aluminum chassis, up to an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor with AI accelerators and Windows 11 Pro, it’s definitely one to keep an eye on. Furthermore, this is also ROG’s first 3K OLED 120Hz/0.2ms Nebula display, ensuring absolutely sharp picture quality. The Zephyrus G14 will be available in either black or white variants. The older cousin of the new G14, the 2024 Zephyrus G16 also packs Windows 11 Pro but includes up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with AI accelerators and up to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, all packed in a sleeker 1.49cm CNC Aluminum chassis. The 2024 ROG Strix SCAR 16 is a beastly gaming laptop, continuing to deliver what ASUS does best with its gaming hardware. Packed with an Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX, a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 and Windows 11 Pro, it’s boasted as “handling even the most demanding games.” It also boasts a 16-inch 2.5K Nebula HDR Display with Mini LED and 240Hz/3ms. With support for up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 4TB of PCIe Gen4x4 storage, the SCAR 16 can handle gaming, content creation and streaming all with ease. Read more about the laptop here.

On the flip side, the 2024 Strix SCAR 18 is also doing a lot of heavy-lifting with up to a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX, Windows 11 Pro and a 18-inch 2.5K Nebula HDR Display with Mini LED and 240Hz/3ms. Last but certainly not least, we have the 2024 Strix G18. Like its cousin, it packs a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080, Intel Core i9 processor 14900HX and a 18-inch 2.5K 240Hz Nebula Display with Windows 11 Pro (pretty much the standard on all of ASUS’ laptops now). Read more about the laptop here.
