Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Deck13 Interactive have announced an official release date of 16 May 2023 for its upcoming action RPG, Atlas Fallen. The game was first unveiled half a year ago at Gamescom Opening Night Live with a promising cinematic trailer showing a fantasy world with fast-paced action and an intriguing story. We’ve since heard little about it outside of the mainstream eye but it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer to play it. New screenshots were also shared alongside the release date announcement.
Focus Entertainment confirmed the news in a recent press release, calling Atlas Fallen an “epic fantasy action RPG where you battle legendary creatures in superpowered combat.” The reveal trailer certainly promises that but it’s also rich with lore that will hopefully deliver an immersive and exciting role-playing experience. Additionally, fans can look forward to a gameplay trailer which is expected to arrive “soon” according to Focus Entertainment.

The description of Atlas Fallen provided by the publisher reads:
“On your own or with a friend, take on a heroic journey through a variety of breath-taking environments, swiftly gliding through the desert landscapes of a vast sand-covered world. Explore ancient ruins and unearth the mysteries and secrets of a fallen society. Fight a corrupt god and extraordinary beasts thanks to the divine power of your shape-shifting weapon. Unlock powerful skills and abilities to build a unique moveset and rise as the champion who will liberate the people of Atlas.”
Media who attended Gamescom last year got an opportunity to get a hands-off demonstration of Atlas Fallen and the reception at the time was mostly positive, though we’ll have to wait and see how it plays before we make any judgements.
