Atomic Heart is shaping up to be a gorgeous-looking shooter. Last year, developer Mundfish showcased the game’s super-detailed graphics in a new trailer which included some raytracing, high res textures and objects with an insane amount of detail. Today, the developer shared a new trailer showing off the Atomic Heart real-time 4K photo mode as well as some new enemies, an outside area hub, and pretty reflections.
Along with the trailer came a handful of new screenshots and your eyes aren’t ready to see them. The 4K in-game screenshots show off Atomic Heart in some incredible detail including weapons, enemies and some really good looking hands.

Now before you judge me gawking over some in-game hands, you have to see them for yourself. They are the prettiest hands I have ever seen in a video game. We are talking high-res textures, translucent skin with sub-surface scattering light and some impressive geometry.
If these are the hands we are going to look at throughout our time with Atomic Heart then colour me excited. Of course, there’s a lot more going on in these Atomic Heart screenshots that you need to pay attention to. We have some mutated enemies being ripped apart, there’s a shot of a possible lock mechanic feature and even an in-game menu showing off a makeshift axe that seems to be craftable using specific materials.
There’s also a shot of the protagonist driving and his hands are on the steering wheel as he seems to be racing towards ane enemy on fire. Why do I suddenly need this game in my life? Check out the screenshots down below:
