Attack on Titan Finale Final Episode Release Date 4 November

Attack on Titan Final Episode Set to Release in November

The final (actual final) episode of Attack on Titan has been given a release date of 4 November 2023. Officially titled Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 3 (Part 2), it will conclude the long-running anime series as the second part of a two-part special following The Final Season of the show.

Attack on Titan is based on the best-selling manga by Hajime Isayama. It was first adapted into an anime series by Studio Wit back in 2013, where it exploded into popularity in the West due to its stylish presentation and action, strong direction and a gripping story about the last remnants of humanity fighting for survival against man-eating creatures called titans. Of course, a lot more has happened over the course of its four-season run, but that’s the short idea behind the plot.

Before we proceed, be aware that we will be discussing major spoilers for the events leading up to current day (no manga spoilers).

The first episode of the two-part special mainly focused on The Rumbling, an apocalyptic event triggered by Eren Yeager in which an army of colossal titans marched across the world, flattening all cities and civilisations in its path. Eren’s comrades consisting of Armin, Mikasa, Levi and more launched an attack on Eren’s “founding titan” form that left the last special on a cliffhanger. The finale will see the conclusion of that confrontation and wrap up the story.

It’s unclear if the final episode will air on Crunchyroll simultaneously but most suspect that the English dub will only be ready at a later stage. We don’t have much information to go on other than the release date at this point, so we’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds.

In related news, Studio Wit announced that it would be adapting Suicide Squad into an anime. Production duties for the final season of Attack on Titan and its two-part special went to MAPPA, best known for Jujutsu Kaisen.
