At the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi showed off its new AI:Trail concept car and it is as extra as you could ever imagine. It is an all-electric, all-terrain vehicle designed for the future. Sure, it looks like something straight out of a Halo game, but we guess that is the direction we are going in.
Of course, the car may never make its way to production but if Audi were to ever release something as crazy as this, it would be pretty great. The AI: Trail joins Audi’s other AI concept vehicles namely the AI:Me, AI:Con, and AI:Race.
It features 22-inch wheels and a battery capable of 400-500 kilometres of off-road driving. The shell of the vehicle features a wraparound windshield for the best viewing experience as you drive. The hammock backseats could be a little cheap but the car’s Level 4 self-driving capabilities make up for them.
We actually took a look at the AI:CON at CES this year

The most striking design feature has to be the headlights which are drones. Yes, actual drones that fly ahead of the vehicle to light the way.
