Auto Chess started as a Dota 2 mod but has since flourished on its own as developer Drodo Studios made an arrangement with Valve. Valve would create its own version, Dota Underlords, while the original game is now a standalone experience on the Epic Games Store. Now it looks like Auto Chess will be coming to the Switch and PS4 in 2020.

At an event in Tokyo, Dragonest CEO Loring Lee announced that the game will be getting a 4v4 mode, tournament support, replays, voice chat and more. The biggest thing announced, however, was that the game will be coming to the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch in 2020. This is according to a report by Gematsu.

The game has some big players to compete with, from Dota Underlords to Teamfight Tactics, but there’s nothing quite like playing the original. Not to mention that both Underlords and Teamfight Tactics haven’t been announced for consoles yet.
