Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Screenshots Leaked Online

Ubisoft is currently working on Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, a new game based on the world of the Avatar movies from James Cameron. We still know very little about this anticipated game other than that it will tell a different, unique story to the movies. However, following a leak last week revealing the game’s pre-order bonuses, the same leaker has now posted a couple of screenshots from the game online.

The leaked screenshots of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which you can find on leaker ScriptLeaksR6’s Twitter (also compiled on a recent Reddit post), seems to confirm a specific gameplay element that Ubisoft previously talked about: first-person. The company explained back in January that a first-person perspective allowed players to become more immersed in the world. The second image shows Navi gliding across the skies on a beast, so it’s likely that we’ll be able to do the same in the final game.

Usually we’d recommend taking everything with a grain of salt but the leaker, best known for Rainbow Six Siege datamines and leaks, also previously leaked images from Assassin’s Creed Mirage before they were officially unveiled. These screenshots also seem official but Ubisoft hasn’t revealed anything concrete about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora yet. ScriptLeaksR6 also claims to have gameplay that they’re planning to leak soon but we’ll keep an eye out for developments.

It’s possible that we’ll see the game in full during Ubisoft’s E3 presentation set to take place in June. The pre-order bonus leak suggests that the company may already have a release date in mind too, which could target a late 2023 release according to rumours.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. No release date has been set yet by Ubisoft.
