A new game in the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise is reportedly in development at GameMill Entertainment. Over the weekend, rumours of the game’s existence appeared online before being confirmed by a listing on Amazon Japan’s website itself.

The game is planned to release in November and will be published by GameMill Entertainment. GameMill is also known for projects such as Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl and Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues. According to the Amazon listing, the game is called Avatar: Quest for Balance.

Unfortunately, even the product listing doesn’t include any gameplay details whatsoever so we don’t know what the story is about and what players will be doing in the game. We do know that the game is in development for PS4 and PS5. This is backed up by the previous rumours of the game’s existence as well as the Amazon listing. Reports also claimed back in April that the new game would be an RPG and focus on the Aang era.

GameMill will most likely announce the new Avatar: Quest for Balance next week during Gamescom. Given that the game is set to launch in November, it is only a few months away. I wouldn’t get my hopes up if you’re expected a triple-A RPG though. GameMill is known for its smaller, watered-down games which often get overlooked due to simple mechanics and “child-friendly” gameplay. However, this does mark the first Avatar game release since 2014’s The Legend of Korra so hopefully, it acts as a sort of revival of the series.
