26 April can’t come soon enough and we are all extremely excited about Avengers: Endgame, the massive film that will finish off Marvel’s MCU phase 3. Everyone has been focusing on the role Captain Marvel will play and how (or if) Tony Stark will make it back to earth, but what about the big green truck of destruction? Well, it looks like a very important moment for Hulk will occur in Avengers: Endgame as he takes the form of Professor Hulk, merging Bruce Banner’s personality and intelligence with the big green guy.

In Avengers: Infinity War, we saw Hulk basically get slapped around like a ragdoll by Thanos and after that moment, the big green guy refused to come out. The relationship (if you can call it that) between the big green guy and Banner has been rocky as of late and Avengers: Endgame could be the perfect time to finally see Professor Hulk emerge.
So why do I think Professor Hulk is pretty much confirmed for Avengers: Endgame? Well, the latest promotional photo for the film, reportedly shared by Orville Redenbacher’s website (popcorn), shows the original Avengers in their costumes. Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Thor (with his new axe) and Hulk.
Hulk looks so much different than he used to, sporting a suit as well. However, the biggest difference is in his face, which you can see isn’t angry anymore. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) almost shines through and his whole expression looks more thoughtful. Check out the promotional photo below.
Unless you’ve recently undergone eye surgery using Gamma radiation, will you probably notice the massive difference in Hulk compared to previous sightings? Professor Hulk first showed up in Incredible Hulk #377 in 1991 and he is just such an interesting character that it is not really a surprise that he will very likely feature in Avengers: Endgame. Let’s face it, Avengers: Infinity War really set the stage for Hulk’s transformation.
