It has been a tough few weeks to be on the internet. With Game of Thrones and Avengers: Endgame being two of the biggest geek moments in history taking place at the same time, spoilers have been everywhere. If you have not watched Avengers: Endgame then we have some bad news for you, spoilers will be socially acceptable starting from next week as the Avengers: Endgame spoiler ban lifts.

According to Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo, there is actually an official date for when the Avengers: Endgame spoiler ban lifts from the film. The two brothers posted on Twitter revealing that the spoiler ban lifts on Monday, May 6 2019.

“If you haven’t seen Endgame yet, see it this weekend. The spoiler ban lifts on Monday!”. The date was then reclarified in response to a question on Good Morning America when asked if there would ever be a moment when it’s okay to openly talk about Avengers: Endgame.

“I think there has to be at a certain point because part of why we make these movies is for conversation. I think it’s Monday. Give it two weekends, not everybody can get there the first weekend, but I think if you haven’t seen it yet you should get out there and see it because I think by Monday people are gonna be talking about it.”

Before Endgame was released, the Russo brothers pleaded with fans all over the world with the hashtag #DontSpoilTheEndgame. While it did help to keep things a little spoiler-free, a lot of people still insisted on sharing end-movie events and other major spoilers. We even had someone post an entire scene-by-scene breakdown in our comment section.

It seems that come Monday, you really can’t complain if you see spoilers online. Sorry not sorry, according to the Russo brothers.
