Avowed, the upcoming fantasy RPG from Fallout: New Vegas and The Outer Worlds developer Obsidian Entertainment, has received a concrete release date of 18 February 2025. Obsidian also opened up pre-orders for the game ahead of its launch in a few months.
Avowed will be available in both standard and premium editions when it arrives in February next year. The Premium Edition includes up to five days early access, two skin packs and a digital art book and soundtrack, while the standard edition just includes the base game. Additionally, Avowed will also launch day one on Xbox Game Pass for both Xbox Series X/S and PC. Game Pass subscribers who want the Premium Edition will only have to pay $25 for all the additional bonuses and content.
Originally set to release in 2024, Avowed was delayed into 2025 to give the team more time to polish the game. It looks like things are progressing relatively smoothly as the game now has a release date of 18 February next year.

Obsidian Entertainment previously confirmed that Avowed can be played in both first-person and third-person, similar to many Bethesda RPGs. If you’re one to hunt down every single ending in a role-playing game, Avowed will apparently feature over ten endings to unlock. Endings will be determined by your big choices made throughout the game, which will then all be showcased in various ending slides – an effective narrative trick that Obsidian has used before, specifically in Fallout: New Vegas.
Avowed now officially launches on 18 February 2025 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. There’s no word on if or when the game will release on PS5.
