It’s been a very long time since the release of the first Baby Roshan miniature statue and it still stings to this day. Back in 2017, Valve promised a reward for those who reached level 2000 with the Battle Pass for The International 2017 and reaching that level was no easy feat. There was almost no way to reach level 2000 without spending a lot of cash and I really mean a lot, as in R7,000 to R8,000 (or more) depending on how lucky you were. Then, when the Baby Roshan collector’s item arrived, it was extremely poor quality.

Valve vowed to replace the Baby Roshan collector’s item with a proper, high-quality one and also announced a Baby Roshan collector’s item for The International 2018. However, players have not received the replacement or the new one yet, well over a year later.

Now, finally, Valve has sent out an email (as reported by Kotaku) to those who are waiting for their collector’s item to arrive. The email explains that:

Today, we are pleased to announce that the Collector’s Baby Roshan statue redesign is complete and the shipping phase has begun. Baby Roshan is now physically larger, heavier, and has improved detail.

Valve also noted that the collector’s item will arrive within the next three months. However, we all know how long it takes for the Aegis of Champions to arrive in South Africa, so local gamers might even have to wait a little bit longer. Hopefully, everyone who did achieve that level 2000 Battle Pass will at least get their collector’s item before The International 2019 kicks off.

Did you reach level 2000 in the 2017 or 2018 Battle Pass and what do you think about the new look for this troubled collector’s item? Let us know in the comment section below.
