Square Enix revealed their collaboration with developer Platinum Games with a cinematic trailer of Babylon’s Fall back at E3 2018 and since then, we’ve seen absolutely nothing about the game. At the Sony State of Play last night, the game came back into the spotlight with a bang, as first-ever Babylon’s Fall gameplay footage was revealed.

Unlike many other Sony State of Play announcements, the Babylon’s Fall gameplay trailer didn’t have a release date attached to it, but it was revealed that more information will be coming in “Summer 2020” so Winter for us South Africans.
The game looks awesome, with a floating sword, fast-paced combat and a massive, intimidating boss, almost like a mashup between DMC 5 and Dark Souls 3. Babylon’s Fall, when it was announced at E3 2018, was supposed to release on PS4 and PC in late 2019 but clearly, Platinum Games and Square Enix needed a lot more time to make this game great and from the first gameplay trailer, it looks like they are on track to do just that.
On the PlayStation Blog, it is explained that:

At the time of writing, there is no release date for the game.
