Back 4 Blood: Tunnels of Terror Expansion – Everything You Need to Know

Back 4 Blood players can look forward to a brand new expansion pack arriving in the co-op shooter this week. Tunnels of Terror is the first major paid expansion pack that brings with it a bunch of new content. If you were wondering what you get for free and what you get if you own the season pass or buy the expansion, we have you covered.

First off, it is important to note that all playable content in Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror is available for everyone as long as they are playing in a group with one person that owns the expansion. However, players who don’t own the expansion will only be able to play the levels and not unlock the new cosmetic content in the game. Nor will players have access to the two new Cleaners.

The two Cleaners include chef Heng who wields a kitchen knife as their primary weapon and has the ability to see attachments, doors and entrances through walls. He also grants the team a 5% chance of not consuming an item when they use it.

The second Cleaner is Sharice. She used to be a firefighter and comes packed with a fire axe as her secondary weapon. Sharice has a passive ability that gives her 25% more Trauma Resistance. Any armour plates she shoots off also have a chance of turning into armour pickups for her team. She also grants her team an extra 25% more health.

In the Tunnels of Terror, players will go face-to-face against a new Ridden variant found through purple rifts in the game. These new Ridden are deadlier and come with some cool new abilities that will be a challenge to beat. The Urchin Ridden drops land mines around the stage. The Shredder Ridden has some deadly sharp claws that can deal some intense damage. The new Ripper Ridden is a giant tank enemy that is hard to take down.

The new game mode in Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror takes players underground. Here, players will have to fight off the Ridden hordes while navigating through a labyrinth-like maze. At the end of each area, the game will reward you will rare loot. There are also some new platforming sections that players need to complete.

As for the new content, besides the two new Cleaners, players will also get access to eight new character skins, seven legendary weapons, 12 new weapon skins and over 15 new cards to add to your deck.

Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror goes live tomorrow, 12 April 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC.
